This strip is by Tom Gauld and is featured in his new book, Revenge of the Librarians, from one of my favorite publishers, Drawn & Quarterly. Gauld is a very witty, somewhat bookish cartoonist—his work seems like it was created in by a market research firm to flatter readers like me.
I have been trying to cut down on my book habit. I’ve been clean since yesterday: I read a post by Tosh Berman that described a book I could not resist, A Brief History of Portable Literature by Enrique Vila-Matas. So I bought it. Pity the poor addict!
